Caramel

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/2 c white syrup
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 1/2 c sweetened condensed milk
  • Directions

    1. Combine in a sauce pan.
    2. Cook on low heat until comes to a rolling boil that cannot be stirred down.
    3. Boil for 8 (6-7 minutes on open flame stove) minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.
    4. Butter a 9X9 pan and pour caramel into pan.
    5. Allow to cool in a cool place for 1 day.

    Notes

  • Can wrap in wax paper for caramel treats.
