Flammkuchen

Ingredients

  • 1 c AP flour
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 3-4 t olive oil
  • 1/2 c water
  • 2 T sour cream
  • 1 1/2 oz pancetta or bacon
  • 2 T dry white wine
  • 1/2 white onion (thinly sliced)
  • Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
    2. Combine first 4 ingredients and knead until a dough forms.
    3. Let rest for 30 minutes.
    4. Divide in 2.
    5. Lightly flour on 2 pieces of parchment paper.
    6. Roll out dough to about 1/8 inch think.
    7. Place parchment paper on baking sheet.
    8. Spread sour cream on dough and add toppings.
    9. Drizzle wine on top.
    10. Bake until golden brown, about 12 minutes.
